Dear all!Finely I get around to tell you all about last night!!!The wether was nice the drive to Toronto was smooth,but when we got to Ontario Place,the gates to the Chinese Lantern was closed,we were in the line of heavy traffic and had to get to the next gatert ---and wola! we were
told that the lantern show was not on.By the way there was a BIG concert going on,in one of the buildings,limos galor and cars,cars.We were dissapointed but joked around all the way home.Someone here made a boobo!!!So we went into Tim Horton in Grimsby,with other words we made a detour to Toronto to get to Timmy,Ha Ha!!Next time I will make sure,when we go on a trip like that.THe weekend was wonderful with Angie and Jenny,then Casey came on Monday,were we went to the Welland Canal.Tuesday Maria and her daughter came and we had a great time.
Maria made her applecation in Heidehof.
I hoped I could brought a lantern homeI remember the wonderful day in Flensburg,in October before we left for Canada,like it was yesterday.You Birgit remember it too.Many children went to the park with there Chinese Lantern,inside a candle.By walking around the pond we were all
singing:Laterne,Laterne ,Sonne ,Mond und Sterne,
Brenne aus mein Licht,brenne aus mein Licht!
Doch nur meine liebe Laterne nicht!
Laterne,Laterne......
This was an old tradition in Germany,before the dark days of winter came.
Oma and Opa and Ilse were with us,it was another Good By for them.
But life goes on.
