Quite the Day
Yesterday mom , Al and I had the chance to visit with an old neighbour and her mother. What a nice time we had drinking white wine, oh so good. For a special reunion like this Barb really didn't want to make it diet food day especially since this visit was her mother's day gift to her mom ( a 2 day visit alone with her oldest daughter). For my part the day before I had gotten back on track and had shed 1 1/2 lbs. Today I found 1 lb. of it after eating so many egg salad and tuna sandwiches which soaked up that earlier wine.
I know myself well enough now to know that booze, bread and coldcuts are not good for my system at all. All 3 are soooooooooo tasty, but they should be left for special occasions and saved for that!
Yesterday was a special occasion and we had so much fun laughing and sharing. Barb and I agree we are so lucky to still have our mothers around. I hadn't seen Betty since 1968, she still looked the same, only now has white hair. Both mother and daughter remain as bubbly and happy as they were oh so many years ago. Now I know why we were such good friends growing up, we had fun.
Anyways we all enjoyed the visit and the nice drive in the country and visiting her beautiful little home in the country. They even have a huge barn, living down the road from Lake Erie, so peaceful.
After we got home I ate my raw dried fruits and licorice pieces which are working well on my system today. Back on track!
Finished reorganizing rooms for the next special visit, feeling happy. I found so many things for upcoming projects, feeling very inspired!
