Hi Everyone.... Well TGIF!!!!
Birgie, I can't imagine the emotional roller coaster you must be on at the moment. I still feel in shock and go between feeling numb and sad and then try to use positive thoughts to dispel the negative ones. I also have been reading The Secret though the idea isn't new to me. I have read many books like it in the past. Sometimes coincidences are just too many to sweep off as meaningless and just plain happenings. So I have felt in a spiritual sense that everything that happens to us big and small has its own meaning that isn't always revealed right away. That's when our faith has to come into play. That can mean Faith in a God or simply Faith in ourselves and our own purpose and meaning in life. That we can achieve far more than what we sometimes believe we can. Sometimes the harder it seems the more we must muster up that faith and the stronger we become for ourselves and those who need us. So Birgie... I know you know this, that I will be there for you when you need me too be as you have often been there for me. I spoke with Dianne who is also a nurse as she has a quiet professional sense about her with all the ingredients of a kind friend. As Mom knows when she went through her breast cancer Dianne was helpful with her knowledge and reassurance that sometimes what we percieve to be really awful (and as Jessie has said too) can turn out to be alright. So it will be that my focus will be on the accomplishments you have made Birgie in your life (and they are many) and that you are blessed with a family and a husband that will be helping you through this with all the love that we hold.
I'm glad to see you here Sue though it sounds like you have Ham behind you there with a whip...lol. (teasin). It's great to hear your story and your take on things. Everyones thoughts help us as a group. I hope that Sadie is alright and that you get back to normal soon as rushing back and forth like that must be pretty stressful.
I'll write more later.... after work. It's Heritage Days here in Ancaster this weekend so I'm sure there will be lots going on :)
Have a wonderful and meaningful day everyone! Love ya
Angie
