(By Jess)

Hi Lorna Doone!

Glad you had a nice visit with your mom and dad. You are certainly an incredible daughter to them, and they are such wonderful people (as you know, touched my heart deeply while I was working with them). I am sorry that it is hard for you to see them so frail. It has been a long road since your mom's initial medical problems, and now your dad getting more frail and moving to the nursing home must have its challenges for you all. I am sure everything will work out, and that's nice their friend will be buying their condo. I wish to see them again soon! :)

I agree too that this blog and all the support is great! It keeps me on track too. I believe daily reminders of the importance our health is crucial. I too want to really focus on the challenges and allow myself, as we all should, to make positive changes and be proud! This is definitely hard work! Nothing easy about losing. haha Oh, and how easy it is to gain!

Oh, and Lorna, I mentioned before that what we can do is do this 3 mth challenge, see what team loses the most, and after, go for round 2 for three mths again, and after that, round 3! We could continue after that even! I was hoping at the least, do three rounds equaling 9 mths of support. I think it is important and helps encourage eachother to NOT give up. So ya, I agree and I think we can try to keep it going, even if some are just maintaining their weight and lending support and advice etc.

How is everyone else doing with weight loss and emotional health? Today, I am feeling light headed, anemic (my aunt flow has come to visit again, and has made me feel like a different person physically as per usual), and feeling as if I need to eat often (but still healthy foods) or I might hit the floor. I know during my period it is important to exercise alot (to curb the cramps - which I tend to get nasty ones!), so I am most certainly going to get my exercise today no matter what!

Keep at er everyone!
