Awesome! (posted by Angie)
Hi Everyone:
Wow if you don't keep on top of this blog there is so much to read! All of it is excellent stuff. I really enjoyed that article Ham and though most of us know this stuff it was so well put and to the point without any fluffiness. I got a lot from that. I'm glad that you found this group as well Ham as I can imagine it will lend you a ton of manly support and information without feeling at all self conscious. Not that I ever think of you as the self conscious kind but I hope you know what I mean. Sounds great and thanks for sharing with our team as well...lol.. it just may be the amo we need to take us across the finish line... muahahahaha :)
Lorna thanks for the gentle words and I am really excited to hear that you are being so positive. That sure isn't always easy and I know your outcome will be all the better for your excellent attitude.
Neenie... glad you have found your place which must be a little more weight (no pun intended) off your shoulders. I think you would be excellent in the holistic field and you already know so much. It sounds like an awesome path and actually something I once thought of a long time ago. Whatever you do I know you will always do well. If it makes you happy and fulfilled there is not much else to ask for ( well money is good too.. hehe) .
Jessie you never cease to amaze me with your words and honesty and all the words of encouragement you give us. No wonder you are a great nurse :) I really appreciate your sweetness and I can see what a dear relationship you have with your Daddy... it is really heartwarming... how the heck did he get so lucky!!! I do believe he would say that luck has nothing to do with it thank you very much.... am I right?
Okay... so we are still working on portion size here and trying to eat smaller amounts more often. I pre-made Chili which consists mostly of beans and veggies with a touch of extra lean hamburger. I did buy nachos which are high in calories however, we will try to limit them to equal the caloric intake limits. Next time I'll get the baked kind. Jenny likes taco salad from Wendys so I am going to make my own version with the home made chili. This way she gets the leaner meat and way more beans and veggies... no sour cream but a few nachos crumbled in with the salad. Next time we will eliminate the meat and see how that goes eh? Baby steps...
Love Angie
